My child is new to karate. Are these classes good for new students without any karate experience?
Yes, absolutely! Classes are designed to be introductions to karate. Students of all ages can participate in the classes. Our classes are taught Kaizen Karate black belts with tons of experience in the martial arts as well as teaching youth age classes. Students are sure to learn a lot and have fun. Students who are interested in more accelerated training at the intermediate and advanced levels should contact our office for more details.
Who can join the class?
We focus our classes on the youth age group for ages 4yrs - 10yrs old. Parents are welcome to join too! All you need to join is strong WiFi or internet connection.
Is it possible for my child to earn colored belts?
Yes, absolutely! We offer both LIVE online video testing as well as recorded video testing for all students who are interested in moving up in rank. For more information please contact our office.
How do I sign up for a session?
Click the Register Now button on the main page of the website to register for class. Select the option you want and get ready to have fun at class!
After I signup for a class, how do I join the video class?
After you register online and pay tuition for class, a link to join the class will be emailed to you around 1hr prior to the start of class.
What should my child wear for classes?
Students should wear comfortable clothing to class each day such as long pants and t-shirt. Students who want to move up in belt rank and start testing for new belts should contact our office for more details.
Do I need a punching bag to participate?
A punching bag is not required to participate. Students are welcome to punch and kick in the air or parents can hold up a soft target for students to strike. If students are interested in continuing long term, we do recommend getting a punching bag.
What is I have questions before or after class?
Feel free to contact us here. We will be sure to reply promptly! Also, at the start of each class and at the end we always have a few minutes to chat LIVE online so make sure your video and audio are on during class time.

Is it possible to view the class on my TV, phone, iPad, or computer?
Yes! Our classes are live via the FREE Zoom video conferencing app available in the Apple or Android app store or software available for your computer. Today our iphones and Android phones are mini hand held computers that are capable of live video conferencing or webinars as long as you have a strong wifi or internet connection. Once you have the app on your phone or tablet you can use Airplay or Mirror Cast to stream right to your TV in a few easy steps.
iPhones use airplay or airplay 2 to connect to an Apple TV that is connected to an older TV or newer smart TV's have Airplay 2 built in. As with all Apple features you can easily connect with just a few easy steps.
The process is similar with Android, you can use the Miracast Screen Sharing App and connect to an enabled smart TV or with an adapter for older TV's.
After COVID-19 is cleared and we are allowed to go back to our normal lives, will you still continue online classes? Also, can I earn belt rank online?
Yes! Online instruction will continue after this period of social distancing is over. ZoomKarateNow is a division of Kaizen Karate LLC and we offer classes year-round. Students will be able to test for new belt rank remotely through our Distance Learning Academy. Contact us for more details if you are interested in working towards higher belt ranks.
